My title is from Scooby Doo, the live-action/CGI movie. Guess which character says it? I'll give a Kar Bloggie Award to whoever guesses it right. My cute friend, Rach, gives little blog awards to her friends that guess things correctly in the comments, so I'm copying her.
So, Dylan and I are very different in many, many ways. For instance, he loves to fight. I hate it. He has boundless energy. I have zero energy. He's really good at putting things together. I'm horrible.
But there are some ways in which we are alike. He has adopted my fascination with tornadoes. We like to watch Twister together, and also Storm Stories and Storm Chasers. It's fun to bond in that way. I was going to get him Twister for Valentine's Day, but he decided today that he wants a toy bow-and-arrow, with quiver, instead. As long as it's cheap, I'm game.
Dylan loves grapefruit, like I do. He has half a grapefruit for breakfast, and the other half for lunch. And sometimes a whole one at breakfast and lunch. He's a grapefruit-a-holic. Which is a good thing.
And I caught a photo of this last one. He shares my fondness for pie crust dough. Ben thinks it's so gross, but oh, yum. Sometimes I make pie just so I can eat a bunch of dough. I usually make a triple batch and end up eating one batch's worth in dough. Yummmm... Here is the newest member of the I Love Pie Dough Fan Club (Kar, President):

ReplyDeleteOk now that I read the rest of the post.... :) isn't it amazing how many ways kids are different and how many ways they are the same as their parents? I'm always fascinated while watching them for things like that!
ReplyDeleteAnd see, I hate both grapefruit and pie crust dough. I'm glad Dyl shares those loves with you, though. And, you get gifts for your kids for Valentines? I suppose I should...
