Soooooooo dry.

Is anyone else having this problem? Yes, it looks like I grated my knuckle on a cheese grater or something, but actually, it's my dry, cracking, bleeding skin. I'm putting lotion on like seventy times per day. Yikes. Bikes.

  1. My husband isn't as bad as your knuckles, but gets really bad in the winter. I had found an intensive, "natural" lotion for him several years back that really helped, but it's almost gone and I haven't found it. If I find it I'll send you a link.

  2. Try using a super duper thick night cream. Always does the trick for me. My biggest problem is I get O yucky rash on top of the dryness which only makes things worse. Winter really does a s number on my skin.

  4. I've had that problem ever since I moved to Utah. My knuckles look exactly like yours - grated and bloody.

Let me know if you find a good cream. I feel like I've tried them all, and nothing works long-term.

  5. Kar, Yikes! That doesn't look good. Best (cheapest) secret: VASELINE! Put a thick coat on your hands at night and then put socks on your hands. It sounds crazy but you'll wake up with the softest hands ever.

  7. I have crazy dry skin and live in SD! I have found that thick creams work, like Cetaphil in the jar. My feet and hands love that stuff....good luck!
