Good.

A conversation that took place early one morning, a couple of months ago:

[Dylan wanders into the living room, rubbing his eyes and yawning.]

Me: Good morning!

Dylan: Good.

Yet another proof that the boy doesn't listen to a word I say!!

And this story reminds me of one of my favorite songs to sing, Good Morning Starshine, by Oliver. It's soooo corny, and therefore a kick in the pants to serenade people with, early in the morning - "Shoobey-dip bloopey, nibby nobby noobey, la-la-la low-low....":

  3. I LOVE THAT SONG!! Andi thinks that I made it up. I used to sing it a lot after I went home in between college semesters and she thought I wrote it while I was away. I'm pretty sure she still thinks that.

  6. I like to sing a few bars of that "its great to stay up late" song too, when Baby Eden decides to wake us up in the middle of the night. Too bad I don't know more of the words.
