It's a major award! (2013 Edition)

I swear I once wrote a blog post with this title, so I added that little parenthesis juuuuuust in case my swearings are true.

My adorable and extremely energetic friends, Kathleen and Samantha at Fearlessly Creative Mammas, nominated me for this award.  Lemme copy and paste what I need to do as recipient of this honor. :)  

The Liebster Award is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The nominated blog must abide by these rules:

You must link back to the person who nominated you.

You must answer the questions give to you by your nominator.

You must pick from 5-11 new blogs, each with under 200 subscribers, to be nominated for the award.

You must come up with at least 5 questions for your nominees to answer.

You must go to their blogs and notify them of the nomination.

Here are the questions they asked of me:

1. What is your favorite season and why?
Honestly, I should change my answer for this.  Maybe I should say summer, because I'm such an avid gardener.  But dang it, something about the autumn is just magical.  And every year when I unpack my sweaters, I'm like, "Yeeeeee!"  I love sweaters.  They're like all-day hugs.  I love harvest-ey decorations.  I love soup.  I love warm homemade bread.  None of these things is fun in the summer.  And I really hate being hot.  Considering this was one of the hottest summers I've seen 'round these parts, I'm officially going with autumn.
 
2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?
You know, I think I'd go with London.  I looooved London when I lived there for a semester as a student.  The culture, the museums, the architecture...I still think about it every day, and it's been 15 years since I've been there. 
 
3. What is your very favorite food?
Bean burritos.  I've loved bean burritos for as long as I can remember.  I probably go and get bean burritos for lunch, like, three days a week.  Not even kidding.  I suppose I'm blessed with a strong digestive system.  I promise that if they affected me aversely, I'd avoid them.  Because of the stinkiness that would result if they affected me aversely.  I like to be kind to others.  And I don't like to stink.
 
4. If you could change one thing about yourself, not physically because you are perfect, what would it be?
Oh gosh.  I think my lack of patience.  It's something I work on every day.  I feel like it's getting better (having children has forced it to get a little bit better), but it's nowhere near where I want it to be.  I'm shooting to have the patience of my mom.  And I have a loooong way to go.
 
5. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
I like to entertain people.  I like to write funny stuff.  When someone comes up to me at church or calls me and tells me that something I wrote made them laugh, that just makes my day.  So really, the answer to this should really be, "Because I'm a narcissist."  Hahaha! 

Okay, now for the nominations.  Dang, now I'm going to have to go check their subscriber numbers.  Hang on a mo'. (As they would say in London.)

Okay.  Now on to the questions I'm asking my nominees.  Hm.

1.  What is your biggest strength?

2.  What's your pet peeve?

3.  What is the best advice you've ever gotten?

4.  If you weren't doing what you're doing now (whether it's employment or full-time mommy) - what would you want to do?

5.  Are you oldest child/youngest child/middle child?  Do you think it's affected you in any way?

I feel like those questions are really dumb.  But I'm seriously interested in these things.
