My Vampire-Themed Post

I think we bought a bunch of these pretend vampire teeth as something for little party favor bags for Dylan's birthday party a few months ago:

And I think they're glow-in-the-dark. Sadie loves them! She just walks around with them in her mouth. If it were me, I would put them in my mouth, and then go up to everyone and growl, or hiss (Stephenie Meyers' vampires do a lot of hissing, which I find hard to stomach. I can see vampires glowering, or giving someone a majorly mean look, but all the hissing? I don't see it), or do my best Bella Lugosi impression. But she doesn't. She just hangs out in them. I'll walk up to her, saying something like, "Hey, Sadie, let's go do your hair for school," and she'll look up at me, and I'll do a double-take, because she'll have those teeth in her mouth. She's so funny.

And I had Ben take this picture of me with Breaking Dawn. He was soooo sweet and bought it for me as a surprise:

Now all I need to buy, to own the complete set, is New Moon. I've considered re-reading the series, because I miss Edward, my lover, but I'm scared that I'll go back into a major depression like I did when I finished the series the first time. Because I'm weird like that. I just read Omnivore's Dilemma, which is a good book if you're having a hard time falling asleep... So now I'm going to start Their Eyes Were Watching God. I'll let you know how it goes. I miss having something exciting to read. Sigh. I'll find it soon.

Oh my gosh, your post was awesome. Had me laughing. I agree with the hissing...I didn't really get it either...in my head they really didn't hiss, they just got annoyed and moved on. I read Their Eyes Were Watching God...I think, and if it is the same book I remember, it was pretty good. A lot of southern drawls which I kinda want to read it now and go back to my mission when I couldn't understand half of what most people were saying to me!

Hey! You might like the Goose Girl books. No vampires there, but still romance and some nive action. Fairytale like. If you are interested I own the first two.... I'll trade you for Ratatouli :)

I want to buy the fangs that clip over your teeth for halloween. (or for when ever I want to feel like a vampire :D). Yay! for such a sweet Hubby.

Those fake teeth always hurt my real teeth. Maybe I chomp too hard on them.

I've been rereading "Twilight", but I seriously need to sit down with it and "Midnight Sun" together. And I think after that I'm going to reread Harry Potter.

I really should branch out my reads...

That is so funny, my kids have some of those too, and they love them. Ryan bought me that book for our Anniversary, but I still need the first 3. I borrowed the others from the library. But at least Ryan knows what he can get me for a B-day or Christmas present!

HELLO...BATS Hiss, why wouldn't vampires???
Ok so I haven't read any of the books...but I am not much of a book reader.
Your daughter's picture totally cracked me up!!! I loved it!!!

You asked about what is SPT...it is "Self Portrait Tuesday" Lelly at http://lellysmusings.blogspot.com/
gives us ideas to write about on Tuesday. You really should join in on the fun.
Some bloggers do it every week and some when ever. I have met a lot of nice people from it Lelly in particular.
Have a wonderful day!
Good luck on those sucker plants!

I regret to inform you that nothing is worth reading after Harry Potter.

But I am making my way through A Thousand Splendid Suns, FINALLY! La-hove it. I'm in Part 2.

I miss having a series. I'm this close to giving in and trying the second Twilight book. THIS close!

What is so funny about crushing on Phil Mickelson??
