He Sells C Shells, by the Sea Shore

Ben decided not to counter the offer. We did the number crunching, and yes indeedy, I'm going to have to keep working. My job with my dad will end when tax season ends - maybe a couple of hours of scanning per week, here and there, but nothing substantial enough - and I won't have to get a job to replace that one. I'm going to have to keep my job at the psychiatrist's office for the forseeable future.

I work that job on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Mom said she'd baby-sit on Mondays and Wednesdays for free. Thank goodness for that. Otherwise, I would give everything I earned to daycare. And then on Fridays, a gal from my ward is going to watch the kids. I'll have to pay her, and basically, all the money I earn on Fridays will be handed directly over to her. But that's life.

I feel soooooo guilty having Mom give up so much of her time to baby-sit my kids for free. She's been really sweet about offering, and she says she's excited, but I just feel badly. I hate taking advantage of people. And I'm not going to be able to pay the Friday baby-sitter as much as I think is right. She's being really nice about it, but I still feel badly.

We figured that my Monday paycheck is going to pay for insurance premiums for me and the kids. My Wednesday paycheck is going to pay for dental. (But we're thinking of screwing dental insurance in favor of some wiggle room in our budget. We can't decide.)

If I have to work, this job that I have is fantastic. I think it's probably the most fun, interesting job I've ever had. So pleasant. So I'm okay with that. And I would have felt guilty leaving them after only two months: "Thanks for training me and giving me a chance! Screw you! I'm outta here!"

Can you tell that guilt is one of the hugest motivating factors in my life? :) Ben takes full advantage of that. He is always giving me guilt trips to make me crazy. He loves to see me squirm.

So, Ben is now officially a C Shells employee. So funny. Seashells....

Oh, P.S. Sorry Ben put a picture of girls' bare bums on my blog. How embarrassing. He's all, "But it's a Led Zepplin album cover!" I'm like, "I don't care! It's child pornography!!!" I told him that, if he wants to put little girls' bare bums on a blog, he can start his own darn blog. As you can see, I took the Bare Bum Girls picture off and just put a picture of the band on his post. Robert Plant has the prettiest hair. Seriously.

Dude, dental is like, $20 a month. It's really cheap. We have a dental/vision plan, and I think it's...like, $40? for our whole fam for the month. CHEAP! I would totally get it!

I am sorry to hear that you will still have to work. It sounds like this job will be a step in the right direction for Ben's career though. What a blessing that you guys aren't moving away from your family.
