There is a show on Cartoon Network called Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It seems to be set sometime during Episode 2, from what I can tell. Because Anakin and Padme like each other, but nothing has happened about it. So maybe between Episode 1 and 2? Whatever. I haven't read the books. I think Padme is a senator in this series.
Anyways, it's when Anakin Skywalker and Obiwan Kenobi are working together, jedi and whatever you call the student. I'm not schooled well in Star Wars stuff. Here's Anakin as he is in that series, still on the side of good:
Dylan hasn't seen any of the Star Wars movies. We really should buy them. Someday. Anyways, Episode 3 was on TV the other night, and Ben and Dylan sat on the couch and watched it together. Dylan's mouth was open SO WIDE at the end. He couldn't believe that Good Little Anakin Skywalker went bad:
And turned into Darth Vader:
He kept going, "ANAKIN???? ANAKIN??? But Anakin is good..." Even the next day, I would catch Dylan shaking his head and muttering to himself about Anakin turning into a bad guy. It was pretty funny.

ya, took Goober a while to get that and we have all the movies ... now his favorite movie is #3. go figure.
He loves the Clone Wars. We have 2 dvd's of them. Always pretending to be Anakin (before the evilness... ya know)
It's hard to let the good guys go. Perhaps this is a valuable life lesson though.
There's a cartoon movie that we saw that's supposed to be between #2 and #3. I don't know if that's what's on the CN, but it's the same art style. I thought the movie was really good. It explained a lot about what happened in between the 2 movies. Jonas Love star wars, at least the REAL star wars trilogy!! He watched the other three (the newer ones) and thought they were really boring. I realized that they are incredibly boring!! LOL
Poor Dylan! That is hard to think that Anakin is Darth Vader!!
I am not a real Star Wars fan so I am not real familiar with it all. However, Austin is a HUGE fan. He could tell ya anything about it. You should let Dylan watch the others too. There are some cute Star Wars books out there too that Austin used to read, they are about a 1st, 2nd grade level.
Yeah it made me mad too, you can tell Dyl I was totally disappointed!
