Divinity

A couple of months ago, I did a lesson for Young Women's on Divine Nature. And I am a big fan of giving the girls treats when I teach, so the day before my lesson, I went to my favorite place, Sarah's Candy Cottage, and bought some divinity. I ended up with a few extras after my lesson was over, and Dylan, Sadie, and I shared one while we walked home. (Ben was sick that week, so he and Micah had stayed home.) When we got in the front door, I realized that I had left my church bag in the young women's room, so I sighed and trudged back to the church, leaving the kids at home. I was still holding the remaining two pieces of divinity in my hand. When I got back home the second time, Dylan comes crashing out the front door, yelling, "I NEED SOME DIGNITY!!! I NEED SOME DIGNITY!!" He thought my divinity treats were called "dignity." I laughed. It's true - he really does need some dignity. And a little self-control!! :)

Yumm! I may have to pay that candy place a visit the next time I roll into the big city...
And the "dignity" story is a classic. Thanks for sharing!

Also, thanks for all your comments! It was so fun to come home from a really long, really obnoxious day and find all of your fabulos comments. I hope you are feeling better and that things slow down for you...but it seems like a mom's life only get busier. You are amazing to do all that you do!

True Story. When I was a kid, my mom made divinty. I got a piece and loved it, so I asked her for more "infinity". Later that day I ate too much and got sick. Poor poor Greggy.

...Then the next day in gym class I was on the mini-tramp, and I got diarrhea. I wish I hadn't said that.
