She kind of... rocks side to side, violently, in bed to go to sleep. It's really weird. She's always done it. Her crib used to squeak loudly when she did it as a baby. It's hard on the girl's hair:
She's smiling so cute in this pic:
But trust me when I say she's not smiling when I'm brushing out the snarls every day! :)

Oh that is soooo my girls in the morning! Erin's hair is HORRIBLE. I have tried every kind of detangler and nothing works. I am glad to know it is not just me having these problems. They both fight me when doing their hair. Sadly, some days I just don't do it!
WOW!! And I thought Brynnan's hair gets messy!! He gets all sweaty at night and it'll stand up funny sometimes. That's so funny that she rocks herself to sleep. I guess I should be happy I don't have girls for that reason. I don't every brush my boys' hair! UGH! I need to be better about it!
My dad always called knotty hair a "rat's nest."
Ugh, that's one thing I'm not looking forward to when Ivy gets older.
She is sooooo cute! And I totally feel her pain with the whole bed head thing. It is not fun in the mornings.
I thought Cara had bad bed head - I had no idea. I hope you have a really good leave in conditioner to put in before trying to comb that mop as my mom would call it.
That is so funny! Have you thought about some loose braids, like they did in the olden days? When Kaitlyn wears her braids to bed her hair is snarl free in the morning!
Those pics are so cute! Drew does the same thing...kind of. He doesn't thrash around, but he bangs his head against his crib. I had to tie the bumper up around the top so he has a cushion. When he was little he would rock on his hands and knees. At first I was like, what the ??? But, I guess it's just his thing and he can talk really well, so he must not have brain damage from it. :)
I totally feel your pain. Jenna and Rylee get crazy hair and have tender heads. I love Suave detangler!!! And, I've recently discovered that using conditioner in their hair does wonders. Good luck and happy brushing.
