Dreamgirl

It's a testament to how much we watch TV in our house that we get those catchy jingles from freecreditreport.com commercials stuck in our heads all the time. This is a recent one, called "Dreamgirl":

It actually kind of bothers me, because he's basically saying that he wouldn't have married this girl if he had known about her credit problems. Nice. There's unconditional love for ya. And he always stares right at the camera in an uncanny way that makes me feel a little uncomfortable.

But like I said, catchy, catchy, catchy. Dylan will sing snatches from all the freecreditreport.com commercials from time to time, and I laugh, because I think it's so cute. The other day, he was singing, "I should have seen this coming at me like an atom bomb," from the fish restaurant commercial.

Last night, Ben was singing, "I married my 'Dude' girl, I married my 'Dude' girl..." and I was like, huh? He's like, "You're the girl that every guy would look at and say, admiringly, "Dude..." He's cute. He made me feel good.

And yesterday, Dylan made up his own rendition to Dreamgirl:

I got a new grandpa,
I got a new grandpa,
But he didn't tell me that
His credit was bad...

I laughed so hard. I asked him why he said he got a new grandpa, and he's like, "It matches the song, mom." Already so highly aware of beat and meter. That's my boy. He is so smart and cute. And I love his little smile when he comes up with something that makes me laugh. He has the greatest smile in the world.
